Terms and Conditions

Eligibility: Only members who receive this communication directly from Delta Air Lines are eligible to participate in this offer. This offer is nontransferable. To be eligible for the status upgrade, a Member must (i) register online by December 31, 2013, and (ii) not have received a status match or complimentary SkyMiles Medallion® status in the past, and not currently be a Medallion member.

Offer: If you meet the criteria to participate, you will receive Silver Medallion status for 90 days. The 90-day period will start when a member's request has been processed. Please allow up to 10 business days for enrollment. In order to extend your Medallion status after the 90 days, you'll need to earn a specific number of Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs) or Medallion Qualification Segments (MQSs) within the 90 days of enrolling by flying on Delta or Delta Connection® flights. Upon reaching the required MQMs or MQSs, your Medallion status will automatically be extended through February 2015. Your Medallion status will be returned to non-Medallion status if you are unable to complete the minimum flight requirement within the 90-day period. Medallion status must be earned in subsequent years by traveling the required Medallion Qualification Miles or Medallion Qualification Segments. Members who receive 90-day Silver Medallion status will not receive credentials. A Medallion membership card will be not issued for the 90-day qualification period. You may enjoy Medallion benefits on Delta or Delta Connection® by logging in at delta.com or providing your SkyMiles number when making reservations or at check-in. Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs) are calculated based on distance traveled and fare class purchased on qualifying flights and do not include bonus miles.

Economy Comfort Terms and Conditions: Economy Comfort™ seating is offered on Delta's two-cabin aircraft, subject to availability. Economy Comfort seating is limited and may not be available on all flights. Features differ slightly according to flight type/destination.  Domestic flights offer up to 3 more inches of legroom and international flights offer up to 4 more inches than the standard coach seat. Seats purchased while onboard are not valid for Medallion discounts regardless of status or fare class. Complimentary spirits and increased recline are offered on international and transcontinental flights operating between JFK and LAX, SEA and SFO flights. Economy Comfort fees are charged per customer per segment. The Economy Comfort Medallion® travel companion benefit is applicable for up to eight companions traveling on the same reservation as the Medallion member. Gold Medallions and their travel companions receive Economy Comfort at no charge for Domestic travel and 50% off on International travel. Silver Medallions and their travel companions will receive a 50% discount for domestic travel and a 25% discount for international travel. Discounts are applied to the published per segment fee. Economy Comfort discounts are determined based on the customer's status at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to assign or reassign an Economy Comfort seat at any time, even after boarding of the aircraft, for operational, safety or security reasons. The final decision resides with the ground staff and the operating crew on the day of the flight. Refunds will be issued to any reassigned customer if the customer is not moved to a comparable or better seat. Effective for Economy Comfort seat purchases on and after May 2, 2013, if a customer voluntarily changes his/her flight or seat selection once purchased, a refund for the original seat purchase will not be provided. Preferred Seating Terms and Conditions: Preferred Seating is offered on Delta and Delta Connection® flights, subject to availability. Preferred Seats are complimentary for Medallion members, SkyTeam® Elite and SkyTeam® Elite Plus members, Alaska Airlines MVP® and MVP® Gold members, and their companions when they are booked within the same reservation. Preferred seats are also complimentary for customers that have purchased full Y, B and M fares. Preferred Seats in select markets will be available for sale 24 hours prior to departure through the check-in window to non-Preferred Seat eligible customers. Fees will be charged per customer per segment. Customers seated in the bulkhead row may be reassigned to accommodate passengers with disabilities. Refunds will be issued to any reassigned customer if the customer is not moved to a comparable or better seat. Medallion Complimentary Upgrade Terms and Conditions: Medallion Complimentary Upgrades are subject to availability and may not be available on all flights or in all markets. Complimentary Upgrades are not available on flights that are serviced with our BusinessElite® product, except on flights between New York/JFK and Los Angeles or San Francisco. Complimentary Upgrades for Award Tickets and Pay with Miles reservations are offered to Diamond, Platinum, and Gold Medallion members and will be upgraded beginning at the eligible Medallion tier window based on availability and are not eligible for Complimentary Companion Upgrades.
